Biography
Chief of the fire demons, Gothmog was the most powerful among the Valaraukar. He served as the High Captain of Angband, holding a rank second only to Sauron himself within the hierarchy of Morgoth's empire. His presence was a storm of smoke and shadow, wreathed in living flame that struck terror into the hearts of both Elves and Men during the wars of the First Age.
